Cash App Fee Calculator
Cash App charges one flat rate to take a business payment — and publishes no rate at all for cashing out instantly, only a range. This page gives you both, and says which is which.

Not part of this sale
Moving the $97.25 to your bank is free if you wait 1–3 business days. Instantly, Cash App charges 0.5%–2.5% — between $0.49 and $2.43 here. It publishes a range, not a rate, and shows the exact amount before you confirm.
Cash App publishes no worked example, so this is a plain $100.00 sale to start from — not a figure Cash App quotes. Cash App also does not state whether its rate applies before or after sales tax; this calculator applies it to whatever amount you enter below. Change any field to run your own numbers.

What the calculator does not cover
- The exact instant transfer fee
- Cash App publishes a range and says the fee is displayed before you complete the transaction. This page gives you both ends of that range — it does not pick a number inside it.
- What the percentage applies to
- Cash App never says whether its rate applies before or after sales tax. This calculator applies it to the amount you enter — it does not guess at a rule Cash App has not published.
- Personal payments
- These rates are the ones Cash App publishes for a Business account. Money moving between personal accounts is priced separately, and is not what this calculator answers.
- Disputes, Bitcoin and stocks
- Each carries its own pricing, and each depends on something other than the sale itself.
Common questions
How much does Cash App charge for business payments?
- 2.6% + $0.15 when a customer pays from their Cash App account, and 3% for a payment taken with Tap to Pay. There are no tiers and no thresholds, so the rate is the same on every sale.
How much does Cash App take from $100?
- $2.75 on a payment from a Cash App account, leaving you $97.25. With Tap to Pay it is $3.00, leaving $97.00, so the flat $0.15 makes a Cash App account payment the cheaper one only past $38.
How much is the Cash App instant deposit fee?
- Cash App publishes a range, not a rate: 0.5%–2.5% of the amount, with a minimum of $0.25–$1.00 and a maximum of $75.00. On $1,000 that is between $5.00 and $25.00. Cash App shows the exact amount before you confirm the transfer, and any calculator quoting a single instant-deposit rate is quoting a number Cash App has not published.
Is there a fee to cash out from Cash App?
- Not if you wait: a standard transfer costs $0.00 and arrives in 1–3 business days. Only the instant transfer carries a fee, and Cash App prices it as a 0.5%–2.5% range rather than a fixed rate.
This is not your Cash App statement. It covers the standard processing fees on a Cash App Business account — not personal payments between friends, not disputes or chargebacks, not Bitcoin or stock activity, and not the card or banking products Cash App prices separately. Check your Cash App activity for the amounts actually charged.
